ANDREA CATTAROSSI

Group President, CEO of Hydro Nova, SRL

Co-founder and CEO of Hydro Nova since 2015, Andrea is a Civil Engineer specialized in strategic planning and Integrated Water Resource Management. He has worked for over 20 years across 35 countries in the field of hydrology, civil and environmental engineering and climate change. During this time, he assisted both governmental agencies and international development institutions define nation-wide investment plans for water and land resources development. He has done so in challenging conflict/post-conflict environments such as Somalia, Iraq and, most recently, Sudan and Palestine. Prior to starting Hydro Nova, he was a co-founder of the Italian engineering firm T-Zero and, before that, was the International Projects Director for Med Ingegneria, where he led various multinational consortium in crafting nationwide water resources and investment plans including a twenty-year water resources strategy for Iraq which included a negotiation strategy on water sharing between Iraq, Syria, Iran and Turkey.

CASEY WALTHER

Group Executive Vice President, CEO of Hydro Nova LLC

Co-founder of Hydro Nova and CEO of Hydro Nova LLC since 2015, Casey is an expert in water resources management with over 18 years of international experience managing groundwater exploration and development programs in Africa, Middle East, Latin America and the United States. He specializes in developing water supply solutions in challenging conditions, fulfilling several management roles in water development with increasing responsibilities. Before joining Hydro Nova, Casey was president of RTI USA where he headed the first-of-its-kind water detecting application to multiple important successes in Kenya and Ethiopia. Prior to that, Casey served 11 years as a water science diplomat for the United Nations in international development and humanitarian missions in the Iraq, Jordan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and South Sudan.  He earned a Master of Science from Oxford University.    

PAOLO MASTROCOLA

Group Executive Vice President, CMO

Paolo is executive vice president of marketing and development for Hydro Nova.  Member of the Group Management from 2015, Paolo has responsibility for Business Development in water intelligence and risk protection sectors.   He has longstanding experience in developing new business in government sector in Uganda, Italy, Iraq, China, Thailand, Kosovo, Indonesia USA, Croatia, Somaliland, and Sierra Leone.  Prior to joining Hydro Nova, he served as vice president of sales for T-Zero, leading a multi-disciplinary team responsible for developing business in water mapping, hydrodynamics, flood management, hydrological modelling and remote sensing applications.  Paolo is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). 

PAOLO POLO

Group Executive Vice President, CTO

Paolo is an accomplished senior executive with over 20 years’ experience building and managing modeling technology programs with a focus on data analytics, strategic analysis and environmental innovation.  He has brought his technical experience and operational skills to a variety of engineering organizations of all levels, including early stage startups, governments and medium-scale environmental engineering companies.  Most recently, Paolo was the senior environmental engineer for Italian engineering firm T-Zero, leading the technical effort of the business to develop new water related modeling software. Before T-Zero, Paolo was the senior VP of engineering for Med Ingegneria, where he was instrumental in leading infrastructure, engineering and global expansion in water management optimization solutions.
